They do. They have discovered it is a safe place. I had been going out to close their pen door every night but now when they see me coming they head to the pond.

Nothing I can do about it! They sleep on the edge of the pond. If I go out and try to herd them in to the pen... they go out on the water. Hopefully they will do that if any actual predators approach!
