I have a few that are ok with being handled, you just need to work with them when they are young and curious.

Would just 2 be okay? Or would I need like 4?

Kiki I had quail poppers! I only had 9 quail, but each made 4 poppers. They were really tasty. I forgot to get an after picture until half were already eaten. They were a hit.

Breast out the quail, cut each breast in half, place a few bell pepper slices (or jalepeno) and add a small dollop of cream cheese. Then wrap in a half slice of bacon and put them all on a broiler pan. Broil for 6-8 each side and check the bacon to be sure it is done, broil a little longer if needed. Then take out and serve for appetizer.

I found a local button quail breeder.... i’m strung between Coturnix and Button quail. If you were me, which one would you get? Buttons or Coturnix?

I don't even know quail too well yet myself.
I would just hate for you to only get two and they end up both being males or one dies.

I only have a pair now. There haven't been any issues.
