Which kind of goats are the ones that have the long droopy ears? Those are cute! But with droopy ears I would think you'd have to worry more about ear mites/infections? Same as in dogs I would assume. They are still cute tho!

You can look into mini nubians too if you want their personalities, ears, and similar milk/butterfat content but not the size of standards, just make sure they are F5 and above or the airplane ears show. Only issue is right now they are the "in style" breed so everyone thinks they are worth hundreds.

I've heard that mini goats are harder to contain, but we never had an issue with our standards. The babies, on the other hand, escaped all the time! I've attached an old photo of my dad, big brother and I with our old sheep, Annie. You can see the fencing in the background. Nothing special and it contained them just fine. They did occasionally bust boards rubbing on it.
Sheep are definitely easier to handle, but they just don't have the personality of goats. Excellent lawn mowers, though! View attachment 1647461

Happens every time it rains a lot, or in this case snow last night then rain all day today. The snow melt usually makes the pond bigger lol usually drains/absorbs back into the yard within a day or two though. Once it stops raining ha though I’ve always said we should make it a permanent pond
