I have that exact model. Should work well, but beware, it might take almost as much babysitting as the ghetto bator.

Imo the key to good hatches with this model is the operator.

One note of advice, put the thermometer on top of the eggs to get a true temp as heat on top of egg is likely warmer than on bottom of egg

True! Also you could include one of those 'water wigglers' to approximate the internal temp of your eggs.

Hot glue a lego onto the thermostat control, it'll help you make finer adjustments. It's incredibly touchy.

I need to read back still. Thx. I just raised this thermometer up about the height of an egg. I still need to go to Walmart. . I shouldn't have over slept.
