I prefer traditional king cakes but at least once during carnival season we get a chantilly king cake. I can only handle one a year they have alot going on lol

Thank you! I guess that is true. And honestly I wasn’t even really craving it or anything, just happened to be driving by (by accident too cause I was originally going the other way) and somehow ended up near there and saw it and went. Although I was originally in Panera parking lot but didn’t like that location and plus needed gas and then I drove by it to get gas and came back so I did have a few opportunities to not go but yet did :/ I was originally gonna go to Subway or Panera but I haven’t been to Five Guys in a while and I love their milkshakes and the food so I went but I didn’t realize it was quite so many calories aha or that mayo was so high in calories! It was good but it says right on the menu the average daily calorie thing for most people is 2,000 a day and I had over 2,000 just in that meal lol you know, it’s no wonder most Americans are so fat cause honestly that amount of calories for one person for one meal is gross.

And it would probably take like months to exercise off that many calories

I was just using the burger as an example, since that is what you ate at that moment. It can be whatever "splurge" food you happen to want.


I do too but honestly I love the cream cheese sauce in those trays the best

I like to use vanilla yogurt instead, which is yummy as well.

I see fruit and whipped cream of some kind. Is it filled with a pastry cream or just a whipped cream type filling? What is the green that you see on top?
ETA: I see icing. Maybe just food coloring for the different colors? It definitely has a lot going on. I bet it is rich.

I just use the cream cheese with the strawberries ok sometimes the pineapple too if I'm feeling frisky

That makes sense. I figured but wasn’t sure, sorry. That’s true. I need to work on not eating such junk though hah I feel weird now

I use it on everything and way too much, I dunk every piece of fruit in it, I could eat the whole thing of sauce by myself in one sitting

purple green and gold colored sugar. The middle is like an ice cream the consistency on whipped cream and whipped cream on top

Traditional king cake is is braided and tastes like a cinnamon roll

It may be pastry cream not to keen on that kind of stuff

My hubby just came over and was looking at what I was going on about. So I showed him the picture of that cake. He goes.. oh is that a king cake? I said yeah. I said, you've heard of it before? He said of course? Haven't you? I'm like, nope. I seriously have never heard of nor had a king cake before. I guess the last couple of places that he has worked for have had them at Christmas or New Years or whatever. At their holiday party. I guess I am the odd one here. And he told me about the tradition etc. Was all new to me. And I am the baker here lol.
