I was worried about our ducks too, but they just treat the snow like water, when it's deep the swim and dive in it, they "drink" it, I had water pit for them in a heated bowl but they rarely went near it

I believe it got into the 16 range on our coldest nights.... If memory serves me right....it doesn't always.... This was our first winter doing it, but it seemed to do the job well. It also may depend on winter weather proofing coops? Ours are fairly open so we cover tops and sides with that insulated heavy plastic leaving ventilation footage at the top...

Hmm, will need to look into this, it is colder than that here on average but maybe I could supercharge it!

Ok. They are in. Am going to let them warm up. No movement noticed. No veins noticed. I don't think I saw veins the first time I looked into S and W either so I'm not worried about that yet. I'll worry if I don't see after they warm up. I gotta go take a yoga walk. Bbl

No but there was not any with the duck eggs either...I think. I gotta remember. No I'm pretty sure there was not with S and W. I would have had a heart attack back then..when I first looked into S and W. Remember I put them into the fridge for a few hours. Bbs
