➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

No problem.. I think the salted eggs are trung vit muoi..those go well with white porridge..if you decide to try century egg one day it’s usually eaten with pork porridge. I hatched a few batches of balut when I lived in California but sold them as ducklings. They were in incubators at the store and usually about 80% hatched. I think they were pekin. I felt bad for the eggs but realized I couldn’t save them all and was adding to the demand of them although not by much as they usually had about 100 a week. Plus I moved to Canada.
Interesting...so your old store in Cali was a grocery type store?
Or a hatchery type place that sold balut?

FYI, I checked with my "source". She says the closest place for purchasing balut is New York! She asked me at least 3 times on Friday if I'd eat one if she got it for me! Um... That would be a NO!
Pretend you will eat it. Tell her to get some stat!

Why? They are already cooked. If I really wanted to hatch ducks (which I do, but WON'T) I would get local eggs from the Natural Living Center in town. Chances are pretty good they would be fertile.
No no Lazy you are suppose to be looking for live balut...not cooked balut!
