➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Basic plans down. Next to get measurements and everything else priced out.

I also have been planning where we are going to section off the front pasture (potentially turn that into a large garden) and where we should put goats. :caf Let's hope the appraisal comes back good so I'm not doing all of this planning for nothing.
:fl

That kind of waiting is the worst. Is it the sort of place where it's unusual for the area? I know the appraisal for a house in a big neighborhood tends to be much faster/easier than when you have a more unique situation.

We had one of those unique homes when we moved and the Realtors were all over the map on what they thought we should ask. There just weren't any comps. We finally chose a Realtor who specializes in lake properties and sold for literally 3x the lowest estimate (a Realtor who happened to live nearby and we have good reason to believe wanted to buy it for herself).

I feel like the appraisal was done by taking the selling price and then justifying it because both parties were in agreement over the value and the buyer had spectacular credit.

I love wildflowers! The bees & hummingbirds do, too. We have a lot of them in the field here and it makes me so happy to see them show up every year.

I love gardens that look like old growth wild flowers. Sounds like it will be beautiful!!:highfive: :wee :highfive:

Thank you both!! I love wildflowers too so I’m super excited!! I tried to grow some a last year but they never took but they were also like cheapy dollar store seeds and just like one or two little packets. This is really good seed from a wildflower company, a whole pound, paid a pretty good amount for it (though still reasonable IMO), and it's all wildflower seed, no filler or grass seeds, which is why it’s more expensive so I’m super excited!! I hope it takes!! I actually got it last year but then I never planted it and thought I lost it. Well turns out my mom put it with all my other seeds and put them somewhere and never told me lol she only just found it the other day and my wildflowers happened to be in there which is good because I was about to start looking for it lol but anyway, I thought I ordered it a couple years ago but turns out I only ordered it in June (checked my email receipt) so I think it should still be viable! :fl:woot

And this time I am going to properly prepare the soil which I also failed to do last time. Now to just figure out where to plant it....

I also have some Poultry Pasture Forage mix from another company that just got here and that’s two pounds so I need to figure out where to plant that too. I was thinking the same area as the wildflowers (hadn’t found the wildflowers yet when I ordered it) but now that I have found the wildflowers, I’m thinking maybe a separate area ha idk.

Here is all the stuff I have. As you can see, I do also have one cheaper seed packet, chamomile, and a mix we just got at 99 (they gave us a seed pack and little coupon for Mother’s Day) so might plant those too. And in addition to the pound of wildflower mix, I also ordered another mixture (the huge pack). I only ordered one but they gave me two and the little free pack. :yesss:

So I am going to have A LOT of wildflowers lol
