➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

What?
It's simple if you buy all the correct parts before you start to build it.
Okay we have a few days to discuss this. First how many eggs should I put under a large breed fluffy hen, she takes up about a 1 foot by 1 foot space in broody position (safely), then let's talk about what I would need for a home made bator for the rest of the eggs. OMG DH is going to need depends when he gets home tonight!!! As in poo your pants!! However this is starting to sound fun. God help me.

You need an ice chest.
A few thermometers.
A humidity gauge.
A lightbulb.
AND MOST IMPORTANT...a thermostat.

Maybe you should just plan to be there early Thursday...lurking in the parking lot waiting for the delivery truck.

You might research "dry" hatch.

Yes, I hatch for my own flock and freezer. I have sold some older pullets to neighbors as replacement layers. The Columbian Wyandotte variety is a Heritage breed that is making a comeback as a meat and egg breed. I hatch so many to meet the standard and grow out the culls for the freezer.
Ya I was thinking of trying the dry method specially now that I have 2 eggs going south in lockdown:he
