For more than a decade, I believed that I had allergen-induced asthma. But, I never actually had asthma and that's why the rescue inhaler DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. I had allergies, yes, and vocal cord dysfunction that would get triggered.

Can I ask what symptoms of your vocal cord dysfunction made you/your guardians believe you had asthma for so long?
I have atypical asthma and often have to take A LOT of albuterol to see results. I suspect I don’t have a correct diagnosis either.
