Oh man. I know it’s not even the worst thing I’ll have to do in my career but I just.. ugh. Darn diseases.

I don't know. I worked for a couple vets and the one I did this with said very plainly that it was the worst part of the job. He hated doing it. It takes some serious effort.

I’m so jealous I want a field trip! That sounds so fun.

I have organic chem, genetics (not gonna transfer but it’s just for my pleasure), micro and plane trig this semester. Then organic chem 2, physics 1 and pre-cal for spring with my physics 2 in the 1st semester for summer. Almost done with these smaller classes or maybe I’ll see if physics 1 is available for the winter-mester and then take physics 2 in the spring.

That sounds like a solid plan! Have fun with organic.. not.
Kidding. I’m glad it’s behind me but it’s not impossible. I almost started to like it at the end. Almost.

I’ll be catching up on some loose ends over winter and summer. Apparently I forgot to take history 2, oops. Also need a creative arts because apparently a year of drawing doesn’t count for that.

Oh and kinda like dissection: I've helped removed the head of a dog for rabies testing.

That sounds awesome. I would love the opportunity to see how that’s done.

I've dissected a fetal pig, nurse shark, frog, crawfish, worm, cow heart, sheep eye and my personal fave... A KITTY CAT! (Actually two cats! And not my fave really. I hated it and don't really like dissecting anything.) I may be leaving off a few things but these are what come to mind.

Why the cats?

I only did a frog once for 8th grade science lol

I’ve done.. fetal pig, frog (3x), crayfish (5x), worm (7x), sheep heart, cow brain, cow eye (maybe it was sheep), perch (2x) and a chicken. My favorite was the frogs of course.

I was supposed to do the cat but they didn’t have enough which was fine by me since we learned it was the euthanized cats from a shelter.

I used to want to be a vet as a kid until I realized you had to put animals down.

And then I still thought maybe I could do it but then I realized it was like 8 years of school.

I should have done it.

I probably could have been done by now.

I still don’t think it would have been right for me though. Not that there’s anything wrong with that field, I’m just much more into training and dog sports and more interactive stuff haha not that being a vet isn’t interactive but hopefully you know what I mean haha

@Tesumph, I'm sure you and @littleprairieheartsfarm will both get the chance at some point in your training and careers to behead a poor doggy. I myself did not enjoy it.

That said though, I actually like history but I had to take it twice cause I failed the first time and then the second time I think I dropped out of the school anyway aha

I think I had to take some history ones and the school I ended up at instead.

I liked those ones much better anyway. The other guy was nice enough but the class was soooo boring haha
