Our local feed store doesn’t carry Nutrena anymore, just Poulin Grain and I think blue seal and maybe a couple others. They used to be big on Nutrena and our TSC didn’t used to have like hardly any Nutrena but now they are carrying more which is nice. Although that said, I do like the Poulin Grain feed a lot but I waited so long, the other store was closed by the time I left, and I also wanted them on an all flock type feed just a little bit longer.

Anyway, so far they seem to be liking it and eating it which is a plus.

And yeah, sometimes the mill dates on TSC foods can be pretty old haha they had some from May still

But thankfully these ones were all really fresh still.

Oh yeah I know but just most of the chick starters here come in crumbles which are usually so dusty and so much waste so I don’t like feeding them haha

But I have fed them it before. They were all on chick starter for a little while before I got the last bag of feed.

I was more just meaning I wanted them on something other than a layer feed. So when I said all flock, really starter would have been fine too. Didn’t really mean all flock/flock raiser specifically if that makes sense. Just not layer feed.

Layer feed probably would have been fine, they were on briefly when I ran out of starter, but I’m paranoid.

Waiting till they lay their first egg or until this bag of feed runs out, whichever comes first, to switch back to layer. Though of course if they lay before the bag runs out I will finish it.

And I do know starter/all flock/those types of feeds are fine for layers but the yolk color and shell strength isn’t quite where I want it whereas on layer it’s great so I like layer haha

But yeah. Sorry for rambling.

I was not? Is Purina Flock RAISER different than an "all flock" feed like the one she posted or are they the same? If it is mainly geared towards babies and not an all through life feed then I will just stick to what I am doing.

All flock type feed... Including the all flock raiser feed is very similar to the same brand name's chick feed.

They’re all somewhat the same though, right? Or no? They all work for adults right? I can’t see the signature on mobile but I think I read it a while ago. But I do know when I read the tags on both the Flock Raiser and this this time, the All Flock has higher calcium than the Flock Raiser. Not sure what the calcium level in their starter is. It also had 20% protein which I think is up from what it used to be? I think it used to be 18.
