I'm 90 pages behind!
I wanted to weed wack and mow my yard and garden today as soon as the grass was dry. Picked okra, started a load of laundry, let out the ducks and chickens and unloaded th dishwasher when hubby comes in and asks "are you tied down on plans today?" It was just 9:30 am.
He and BIL had gone to our pasture in Prague (30 minutes away) to check the herd and noticed the bull had a swollen eye. They came back for the trailer so we could go get him.
I called the vet because the way they described the eye I knew it was more than I could handle. Got an appt for 1 pm.
Fortunately the bull had come to the front pasture to be with the cows and that is close to the loading pen....saved us from driving him on foot from the upper pond.
We get home at 11:30am. I threw together tuna sandwiches, cottage cheese and home canned peaches and home made chunky applesauce for lunch.
Drove to Prague for our vet appt and the eye has to be removed. A tree thorn in the eye had caused an infection that damaged the eye. We assisted with the surgery (learned a lot!) and had to load a drugged bull.
Finally home by 3:30pm. Bull is in the front lot with the cow and calf with the leg in a cast.

I'll get caught up in a bit. Nubby just said he is taking me to our favorite Mexican restaurant in Prague....

APPLESAUCE!?

Canned PEACHES??
That's it. I'm calling the cops. Foods such as that can't be allowed to come into existence.

Woah...is the mango any good?
I with Batty..I can't eat canned peaches or even applesauce but I might be willing to try the magic when I can't get the real ones.
My applesauce has NO sugar and I make it chunky.
Can't stand any fruit in a tin can. Thus my peaches and pears are divine!

Ew. I'm a snob. I pretty much only enjoy a legit balsamic. The thick, real stuff. Everything else just feels like a cover up.
Yes!
