Oh interesting. Looks like it is mainly made from fruits, flowers, and plant protein plus calcium and vitamins.

If I did have a crestie, I would probably feed it the highest quality goop I could find along with gut loaded crickets.

Some of the rescues I follow on social use repashy for animals in really poor condition. So I know it is a quality product, but probably not necessary for healthy animals of most species. A varied diet of fresh food seems better. But maybe people have just had poor luck trying to recreate crestie diets in captivity??? The sap and nectar seem like they could potentially be a challenge.

But yeah, I would still feel like I was copping out if I only fed my pet smoothies.

That’s probably it. I’m sure I’d feel different about it if I took the time to research.
I’ve also never had a crestie, so I’m definitely talking out of my ass. :lol:

Yeah for beardies it’s probably not necessary and they’d probably be so bored and sad but seems like it’s good for geckos haha

But yeah that’s probably the best idea although I’m sure it’s formulated by experts and complete haha

Yeah it’s supposed to be a quality brand from what I’ve heard!

And yeah I’m sure that’s probably it!! Those are challenging to recreate for sure.

Btw here’s the main formulations. They reformulated the original. The new one seems better.

:lau totally understandable!! It does seem odd but seems like there’d be tons of cresties dropping dead if it wasn’t a complete diet given how many people feed that stuff LOL

And I’m sure you can make it more enriching by hiding the food in various places. :)

I tried feeding Tad banana pieces a couple of times but she wasn’t having it. She is a picky little brat :gig
