That’s good! I can’t remember if the Galaxy had that. I don’t think so. I think it just deleted without asking but idk for sure. Maybe it asked and I still accidentally hit yes.

That is the issue. Where to put all of them. The other issue we have, the 12 hens are laying 4 eggs a day. I can't fill up the bator. But we have another 6 months to worry about that. In the meantime, tasty treats.Nutty im thinkn the same thing about hatching every wk come Decemberputting them outside at 1 wk into the tanks on the backporch- still possible but --into the grow out at 2 or 3 wks(depending on what i got going on out there) where itd b a pain in the neck to run a lamp? Hummm idk. I always did like smaller clutches where i can see whats what w each individual.
Best news! Closer to getting my 7 new bunny to be converted to quail cages!![]()

it has real good cover and i could use it for these winter grow outs if i ran an extension cord to it. Then where does it go in relation to the other pens and house? The birds pens are already about as close as i would like. There are a great number of them and this is a big structure. If we could get the explorer lawn ornament gone that would be the space. Dont know. Also of course a nice pen would pop up on CL for cheap right now
if i could get it here in the truck bed id have already done it but its a lil journey aways and doesnt come apart and i have no trailer. TSC rents them for 45$ a day without a delivery from Them but that makes the price out of reach

Moved the birds to the kitchen porch, away from the dogs. The heat lamp with an LED bulb on a timer. So, yes, they have lights. No, not Christmas lights.Did u ever add the Christmas lights?
See? Batty has a method to her madness. No, no, no. Sounds great! He's getting it and not us.
How are you liking the cold snap, Kiki? Heard it'll get into the 60's this week. Brrrr!
This is making me reconsider hatching quail through December though. The 1 week and into the brooder group is doing great without heat in the 70's. Getting their feathers in now. The mosquitoes are still bad. Still tempted to get one or two more meat hatches in this year. QB#8 is due 18 October.
I'm rather put off by 25 hatchlings pooping in the same brooder. Understand Batty's desire for small hatches. Much lower poop factor. I'm trying something new and finding all the kinks and the poop.
You can get LEDs in the daylight spectrum.Moved the birds to the kitchen porch, away from the dogs. The heat lamp with an LED bulb on a timer. So, yes, they have lights. No, not Christmas lights.
Then I read that LEDs don't work due to spectrum needed by the quail. It has only been a week. I cleaned their coops last weekend and figured that upset them. But, it looks like poop load will require cleaning weekly.
May try another bulb.
Method? Or diabolical plotting? Only The Shadow knows!See? Batty has a method to her madness.
