I love dashes. I hate dash abuse. You, sir, fall decidedly into the latter category.

– EN DASH—if you use this (or two hyphens) as an em dash, I will cut you.
— EM DASH—the best punctuation mark known to man. Use with spaces or without on either side, that's simply a style preference.
