I'm still in the process of catching up but yes, I am cooking this yr. Although, I'll be cooking on Friday instead of Thurs. My daughter and her boyfriend always go to his Nanny and Papa's for Thanksgiving and it would push me to hosting an evening meal. I would just prefer to have it in the afternoon. And my hubby's Aunt is going to cook so we will just go over there to eat and spend time with them. My daughter and her BF will swing by to visit a short while before they go to his Nanny and Papa's and I opted to cook Fri so they won't feel so rushed if they were to come over and would actually be hungry enough to eat.
I'm going to be fixing Turkey, sweet potato casserole, green beans, roasted potatoes with carrots and mushrooms. I already made pumpkin rolls and I will make a couple different kinds of cookies tomorrow. This time of year is the only time that I ever really feel like baking. I'm going to hold back some though and not bake so much.
I know all about dogs that love their ballsIt’s up to an even 650 now.
Going to sleep finally so 13,650 will have to be today’s total. Pretty dang high if I do say so myself.
And I’m definitely feeling it. I’ve literally been on my feet like all day today and my feet/ankles/calves are so sore.
Also feeling that hard fall I took to the ground today thanks to one of the dogs
My own fault.... threw the ball out of range of the leash by accident... 50 foot leash... lots of time to accelerate. Plus extremely athletic and strong, extremely ball obsessed dog means I’m gonna be hitting the dirt when that dog hits the end of that leash at full speed
Lesson learned lol
After that I made sure to throw the ball well within range so my next fall wouldn’t be in the pond
Thankfully I wasn’t hurt and neither was the dog and I actually think it’s quite hilarious now.
The dog also didn’t care about me and just wanted me to get up and move closer so she could get the ball.
Anyway, goodnight all.![]()
I know all about dogs that love their ballsMy dad's lab has a ball in his mouth 24 hours a day. He drops the nasty slimy thing on my lap all the time and usually when I throw it he knocks me over or jumps on my lap.
My puggle is ball obsessed too. We have four or five balls in this house and she hoards them all and won't let anyone have them. It's funny when the puppy gets one of them though because she will shove it right in her face. They have to hide the ball when they’re done playing because she is obsessed with it and will not chill lol she goes crazyshe’ll jump on you to get it or even steal it out of your pocket.
she’s very smart and does anything to get it haha they usually use a chuck it I think to throw it but I just use my hands but it’s the rubber chuck it ball so it doesn’t get too nasty. Well, does pick up dirt when wet but a couple pond throws fixes that
She’s a Golden. Their other one likes the ball and will play fetch and stuff but doesn’t go insane like the younger one.
They’re my friends dogs and I was walking them but took them separate aha and drove them to some cranberry bogs aha

Here's my puggle. I threw two balls thinking that one of the other dogs would get one of them... nope, she grabbed both of them
