Were they having you find specific things?Anatomy lab was so much fun today. We got issued our cadavers and our dog is an absolute monster.
He's this unneutered bloodhound that's easily 120lb, maybe more with all of the fluids. The TA's kept coming around to comment on how huge he was lol. Wish I could get a photo.

Yes, we are starting with the thoracic limb muscles. Yesterday was mostly skinning him and cleaning him up. We will be working with our dog for the entire semester. Were they having you find specific things?
I had to dissect a puppy that passed away at the vet's office.
The puppy arrived with a cute red bow, but was extremely sick. Rat poison was the culprit and it wasn't just a little that the puppy consumed. I went in the next day... She was dead
The vet had me look at different organs and all her insides to show me what the rat poison did to her body. Then we sent her to be cremated.
Definitely was eye opening. I'll never use any type of poisons at my house.
Sneak one.

I don't understand how the dog is not going to rot and smell something awful for a whole semester.Yes, we are starting with the thoracic limb muscles. Yesterday was mostly skinning him and cleaning him up. We will be working with our dog for the entire semester.
I also don't use rodent poisons. Don't like it.
I'll ask if I can take one photo.
