We have Comcast too and it’s also crazy high but we have the bundle thing for phone and internet too but still crazy. We unfortunately need both the internet and the phone though cause my dad works from home.

What we (or rather, my mom) do every so often though is we call them and tell them we are going to cancel our service. Tell them it’s too high, they upped it, it’s ridiculous, whatever and we are switching to Verizon (or some other comparable company, around here Verizon is the only other one really). They usually will do anything to keep you with them and lower it again for a while LOL may work for you @FortCluck
I've had their service for probably six or more years and I have never really had any issues with their billing until now. They offered me $30 off my bill which would still make it $70, which to me is still too high considering I only watch about three channels.

We canceled it completely. It'll be one less bill that I have to pay.

That makes sense!! But yeah probably better to cancel it!! But OMG I wish ours was 70! :th

I think ours is several hundred  :th

We don't have internet or the phone either because I just use my phone hotspot for internet, it works better than the DSL internet that they were trying to give us.

$70 is a lot of money when you start adding the cost for the whole year. That's about 3-4 bags of feed or a few bags of dog food. I can find better things to spend $70 on

We did find better things. Like dogs, chickens, chicken chores, and now quail. Amazing how much time you have when you aren't interrupted by commercial breaks. Commercials take too much time.

The channels raised your bill to watch commercials. The channels get paid for airing commercials. They are making you pay to watch commercials. Think about it.

I've been upset ever since I did the math and found out my favorite hour long show had 34 minutes of content. VCRs were great since you could fast forward. DVDs block that feature now.

I DVR everything. I still have it until February 15th until it's shut off and then I have 10 days to return the box.

$840 a year for 3 channels we watch and all the other channels don't matter to us. That's ridiculous to me!

If you stick the quail in a "cone" first before putting its head under the wire, it may work. If I was doing quail, I would use the jerk its head off method.
I agree. I often pull the heads off quail instead of using pipecutters because there's less room for error. They're wiggly buggers, and the pipecutters don't go through their skin easily; I like using them on slightly larger birds, where I can tell for certain that I have cut everything that needs to be.

Oh yeah, sorry, I wasn’t trying to say $70 wasn’t a lot or anything.

It definitely is and I totally get choosing to spend it on better things.

I was just saying compared to ours it wasn’t/saying how insane ours is haha

But it definitely still is high and if I was paying it, I wouldn’t want to pay even that, so I do get it

This is why I usually don’t watch anything live or if I do, I go do something else during the ads. I also sometimes will pause it (yes you can pause live TV now lol at least with ours) so then I can fast forward through the ads. Or I just watch it later because I usually record all my favorite shows anyway. So I refuse to watch ads and fast forward.

But yes it really is enlightening. Netflix is especially good for this. Most shows are like 40 or 45 mins and the half hour shows are really enlightening... only 15 or 20 minutes of content. :th

Yeah we record everything too.

Yeah it definitely is! Sorry if it seemed like I was saying it wasn’t. maybe you could pay for streaming for the individual channels? Most channels have streaming/all access type services now and it would probably be cheaper than the cable bill! I know CBS is only like $5 or $6 and not sure about the others.

Honestly tv is junk everything on it is 💩 for the most part. I can detach myself from it just as easily. We can play card games, board games, read, and just communicate... most families just sit in front of a TV and don't even ask each other how their day was. It's pathetic.

I truly believe that some of the technology that we have today is really pulling apart today's society. People don't even know how to communicate with each other anymore.

People talk to their friends on Facebook rather than face to face, it's quite disgusting honestly
