Not snotty at all!The whole "don't judge me" comment was supposed to be sarcastic and not snotty. I hope I didn't come across that way because I didn't mean it that way. I have heard of a lot of people making salmon patties using and swearing by it. I can say that I have never had a salmon patty. I know, I am a weirdo lol. They are normally made with onions and I don't like onions sooooo..... I've just avoided them lol. I'm a bit of a picky eater.![]()
If you really want to help her through her molt, get her a higher protein feed. The best molt that any of my birds ever had was a turkey hen that was in a separate pen with her poults. She was eating the 28% protein turkey or game bird starter that was being fed to the poults. Her feathers were gorgeous after the shortest molt any of my poultry has had. Her sister that started molting at the same time was still in the molt process over a month later.Oh ok, Gotcha! It's only been a daily thing for less than a week so far. She's been molting for a couple weeks now but it's been a super slow one. I didn't start the extras until there started to be egg laying problems (a couple soft shell eggs and then the one that she couldn't pass and broke inside of her). That's when I started to get worried and felt that she needed a little extra boost. If they get eggs or veggies, anything extra, it is usually as a "treat" and not a regular occurrence. They have a big yard that they free range in all day long so normally I feel that is plenty. But I do spoil them every now and again lol!

I really feel like most of the layer feeds and stuff they recommend are way too low protein. Mine did much better on the 18% layer as opposed to 16% and they did even better on the 20% Flock Raiser. Now they are on a different brand multi flock feed that is 22% and they’re doing the best I’ve ever seen them and the chicks are doing amazing too! I really feel like all birds, not just game birds, do much better on higher protein feeds. Funny thing is I didn’t even realize this feed was so high protein at the time, just wanted to try something different since I hated how flock raiser was all crumbs lately, but I like this feed way better. If you really want to help her through her molt, get her a higher protein feed. Although one of my brothers doesn’t really like seafood either and the other loves it lol
Also, we were born in Florida too, on the Gulf coast, so even worse that we hate seafood!!! Both of the places we are from are huge seafood areas.![]()

I figured you were!I'm just teasing ya. Everybody is different. I used to hate shrimp growing up. My parents loved it. I guess maybe it was the way it was prepared when I tried it but, I didn't like it. It was maybe 8 years or so ago that I tried it again and have loved it ever since. I've tried lobster once, maybe twice. Didn't like it either time. I wanted to like it... cause it's, ya know, lobster. But nope. It is possible that it was poorly prepared but eh. I don't care enough to keep trying lol. I've never had crab legs nor crab in general. Hubby had an allergic reaction to crab one time after we ate at Red Lobster. He broke out in hives and started swelling up. I made him take a Benedryl and a puff of a Primatine Mist (bronchial inhaler that used to be sold OTC) inhaler. Ended up taking him to the ER. Because of what I had done, all they did was monitor him to make sure he didn't get worse. He avoids crab like the plague now. Technically, he shouldn't eat ANY shellfish, which includes shrimp, but he will still eat shrimp. I make sure they are cleaned thoroughly. Other than shrimp, I am a fish fan. I love just about any kind of fish.

And oh wow that is terrifying!!! My aunt one time had an allergic reaction to lobster when she was visiting. But it was so long ago I don’t remember it haha but I know it was scary.
One of my friends is deathly allergic to peanuts. Thankfully I’ve never seen anything happen but I also don’t see her too too often since she lives in NY. But if I bring food or anything, I buy the totally allergy safe kind or make it.
I had lobster once years and years ago at a rehearsal dinner and I hated the texture. It was chewy and nasty. But I’ve been told lobster is not supposed to be like that haha
My dad and brother could probably down pounds of shrimp.
I’m just super picky. I like fried white fish and fish sticks![]()
but I can’t eat fried stuff anymore and I try not to eat fish sticks anymore
I like canned tuna only slathered in tons of mayonnaise.
I mostly only eat a few things in various waysYeah, I hear ya. I am super picky also lol.
