Man I would be all over this if they didn't have to be shipped.
I don't think it's from the biting. The coyote was smashing his head against the ground when I ran outside. The left side of his face is really sensitive and swollen so it must be what bore the brunt. I'm thinking he will need antibiotics and some pain meds. He is able to clean himself and is drinking water (I also saw him yawn) so his jaw is not broken - thank goodness! His left eye has a lot of goo on it but his eye is clear underneath. I think the area is too painful for him to clean. He did clean the other side of his face. He looks like a boxer that took a beating, but I think he's going to be fine.In short...
I don't cook much because only 1 grocery store within 10 miles and it's terrible. They don't even have fresh garlic! The closest decent store at 30 miles is always so crowded you would think it's the apocalypse.
@KikisGirls should watch LOTR today since she has never seen it.
Ranger will be good with antibiotics. Bite wounds swell lots because of all the bacteria. My dog had one that had to be drained. Get him canned food because eating will be painful.
I have let my drake outta jail and after a few minutes of him being a drake, things simmered down and I think everyone is finally integrated!
There are things that look edible in my garden!
The end.

I'm a farm kid so I grew up used to losing them, but it doesn't make it any easier! I can't imagine trying to keep the lunatics that I have indoors! I think they would destroy my house to escape. You and Danger are troopers! I'm a cat mom myself and I would be a basket case if something like that happened (mine are all pampered indoor mushes). I've been biting my nails since he was attacked. I'm so glad he is home and will be ok!
Very true! What have I learned? It pays to be paranoid and investigate any weird noises as soon as possible!Awwweee... poor baby...I am so sorry. This is the moment of having an outdoor cat that I fear the most. We can't protect them from everything and we know they would be miserable indoors all the time. Mine has learned to beg to go out and I get scared every time he's gone for a long time.
