I'm pretty sure six in the middle are fertile... But Don't know which drake... So I'll be waiting until I've separated out the breeders... Four on the left are turkey, next six are duck and the two on the right are Delaware...
But you have to go to a store to join this experiment or it won't work.
My results will be all out of whack!

 I'm sure we do but I don't even have room now for a kiddie pool!:hit
You know in the second part of the store man convo, I did ask if he ever got any other type eggs in ( I was thinking of the original experiment.)

He said, "There is a lady that sometimes brings in goose eggs be she wants too much money."

His is a business man.

I haven't finished reading @Beekissed 's heating pad experiment yet but I am thinking you could try those monster turkey eggs her way.

Let me know if you want to try incubating some balut chicken eggs....I might know the exact place that has some.View attachment 1310202
I was staring hard at the bottom RIGHT egg.

Store Adventure.
I take a deep breath...get our of the car and hit record on my phone (which was in my hand) and walk up to the store.

I grab a cart (they are stored out front) to pretend I am going to shop.
As I am about to walk into the store I recognize a man taking a break out front.
I walk up to him and:

Me: Excuse me.
Him: Stays looking at his phone.
Me: Excuse me a little louder.
Him: Just stares at me.

Me: Hi! Can I ask you a question
Him: Nods yes.
Me: I bought some eggs the other day for a taste test and when I cracked (I fibbed a little) the egg open I was surprised.
Him: Laughs out loud and says Balut? I think he was asking me a question but am not sure.
Me: I am looking for normal duck eggs...ones that don't have babies inside.
Him: Yes yes.
Me: (WHAT?)
Me: Do you sell normal duck eggs?
Him: Giggling..yes yes..in the plastic.
Me: Ok..thanks.

I should have left it at that but something snapped and I remembered I was suppose to be asking questions.

Me: Do you eat those Balut eggs?
Him: Yes! Well I don't eat the baby I just drink the juice.
Me: How long have those eggs...that I bought the other day from your counter top inside...how long have they been developing?
Him: I don't know...they are fresh we get new ones in each week.
Me: So you mean they are ready to cook now? I don't need to wait a few days to cook them first?
Him: No no they are fresh.

Me: I am so nervous I have no clue what to say next so I say thank you and walk in.

Then this happens:
I walk straight to the counter to look at the ducks eggs again and grab my phone to stop the filming of the convo to take a picture. :he:he:he

I'm not done with this story.
The bottom right egg near end of video. .. looks like the same one in the earlier photo post!!! :barnie
 Could it be the same balut eggs are left shivering for days in the store until bought or boiled?!? :th

Room temperature?
Who knows.

Do I need to bring my temperature gun thingie tomorrow to test them?
Why not! Maybe they get tbem from the incubator place once a week... ask when they were received and you will gain valuable insight as to your eggs time in lower temps.

Apparently duck eggs can withstand an interruption mid incubation and still hatch, remember Lucky's egg was abandoned in a cold rain for overnight before Steven rescued her to resume incubating?

Did you consider the bra incubation method? Advantage of a very even temp!

surely we ALL have eaten some foods that peoples elsewhere in the world would respond similarly to!
While the balut was just a one-off tasting for me, once you try with an open mind and with the realization that it's all in your head, it can be a delicious and rewarding activity to try new things.
yah, like eating mud! I do it all the time, NOT!:duc
