I think @KikisGirls is right when she says that someone else needs to do this because after all you need a control group and an experimental group. Maybe the control would be someone with an actual incubator and incubating experience... any takers?

Apparently duck eggs can withstand an interruption mid incubation and still hatch, remember Lucky's egg was abandoned in a cold rain for overnight before Steven rescued her to resume incubating?
Chicken eggs can be interrupted too and survive very well. :thumbsup
And not just at one point but at different stages of development. Eggs left twelve hours cold has had no repercussions on any of my eggs. I have a bantam hen who was left cold for 60 hours at approximately day 5 in the incubation. Embryos are incredibly resilient. ;)

I have an incubator, her name is canna canna. she's had 14 chicks so far.
