So you plug your lamp into this. You set the low and high temps. When it gets too cold it switches your light on, when it gets too hot, it switches your light off. I saw it on another thread with someone paranoid about a fire in the brooder from a heat lamp. It keeps the light from running continuously.

My problem was I wanted this thing NOW...I can't/couldn't wait for it to be shipped to me.
This looks close to perfect.

and when your experiment is done you can use it to control a space heater or a window AC unit or something else in your house, or brood in the future or de-ice chicken water

We don't use heaters!
