➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Chicken eggs can be interrupted too and survive very well. :thumbsup
And not just at one point but at different stages of development. Eggs left twelve hours cold has had no repercussions on any of my eggs. I have a bantam hen who was left cold for 60 hours at approximately day 5 in the incubation. Embryos are incredibly resilient. ;)

So wait... If I pull a few eggs from my broody hen, I can incubate them? I was worried that they may not hatch because she just has started a few weeks ago. If I move her and her eggs (not her eggs but the eggs of another hen that she is laying on), will she abandon them?

Soooo many questions! Aaahhh!

I'm catching up...so shoot me!

About the Great Clam Chowder Debate - Manhattan and New England. You're welcome.

Don't kill me, but I unplug their heat lamp at night
Their brooder stays above 70°F at night, so they are fine.
If it stays above 70 at night, then it's probably just as warm during the day, if not warmer. Why not take it out completely?

I was going to suggest that, never regretted converting to MHP :love

I LOVE reading that! :wee

Nonsense. The birds like snow.

...kind of... sort of... well, not really, I guess.

Somebody forgot to tell mine...
