➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Get Silkies...they live to brood!

My Cochin hens will brood more time than they lay! They are huge feather balls and make wonderful mothers.

Lol if I get any more hatching eggs the hubby is going to strangle me lol
I just set another 58 eggs today, moved 60 to the hatcher and have another tray of 70 in the cabinet incubator. There are still 28 duck eggs in the Hovabator and 15 Cochin eggs under Connie Cochin in the outdoor coop.
I'm usually hatching 200 chicks a year...I mainly raise Columbian Wyandotte, but also have Cochin, Delaware Bantams, and the ducks. The layer flock has Wyandotte, Naked Neck, Buff Orpington, and a variety of Bantams.

Thanks guys for letting me know what bcm stood for man I feel like a dolt lol
Wanna take a wild guess on who has never heard this word?
Means someone learned something new today! :woot

You hatch for your own flock/to keep or do you sell chicks too?

Well my hen has not moved off the nest in two days and one night. DH is home tomorrow, so we will make any needed repairs to the broody box and run. Then if all goes well I will take a ride later this week.

Thank you! For real!
:highfive:
