most worms are fecal oral transmitted. That means poop with an egg has to go into your mouth.

I kiss strictly on their cheek. Of course they like to sneak kisses when I’m talking or not paying attention to them.

You are fortunate to have a dog that doesn't roll in gross things if you know kissing any part is safe!

I have a candling question ( ok, I know I said I wouldn't do that, but with Miss Badness' BS in the beginning, I am starting to wonder.) I don't want to move the eggs too much and harm them. So when would be the earliest that I should safely candle and get any real useful info. and does any one have a good site that I can explore to see what I should be looking for to make sure the eggs are progressing based on the day they are being candled. I have only candled two eggs a few days after they should have hatched. Also please remember I am candling fairly dark eggs. Thanks everyone. @KikisGirls any luck with baluts or do we need to wait until Monday now?

Hmmmm.... I don't remember a vet ever telling me to give a dog canned food. Even when the doggy dentist pulled Monkeys teeth he said we 'could' switch him over to canned, but that soaked dry was what he recommended. We thought we'd be nice & buy canned because we knew his mouth would be sore, but none of the dogs will eat it.

It was weird that he (vet) suggested this to me right?
He, the pup, is only one pound but he CAN chew and eat his dry food just fine.

I found this BYC article a good source of egg development when I was first candling. Keep in mind these are pictures of white shelled eggs. Dark shelled eggs are very difficult to see.

Her name was to be Reyna but got changed to Mia, should have kept the name Reyna...

Very close to the same coloring as my little rat, but he is not even going to get that big!
He is like a serama/bantam dog.

Sorry I thought I said I unplugged the bator yesterday.
I am going to go visit The Man tomorrow morning...take a look at Friday's eggs.


It was kind of a busy day with all the wormy poop.
I ended up taking him back to the vet yesterday afternoon because he would not stop pooping, like drops of liquid constantly.
I think it was the darn wet food that the stopped vet insist he be eating.
I got a few syringes of meds to help stop that and it has worked.
I am assuming the tapes are all gone but wouldn't you know he decided to poop ONE roundworm late last night.
I am so done with worms.
