When that happens at my place, the hens get little mud boots. We have a lot of clay in the soil

Mine all have feathered feet, so I am sure they will have mud boots as well.

Just locked everyone up for the night. Ground is wet, but no longer needed Lil Burleys to walk in the yard, chicks wanted to stay in the run and play Had to make them go in the coop.

Are they still locked up away from the rest of the flock?
Or are the chicks around the big girls now?

They are in their respective coops and runs, but can interact with the big girls through the hardware cloth in coop and chicken wire when in their runs. So when the time comes integration should not be a big problem. just usual pecking order stuff.

Thanks, it's really not that bad, i do feel bad for chicks as they have never seen rain before this and it stormed, lightning, hail, light flood, the whole nine yards the first time.

This is true, was worried when yard started to flood some, that they may have to be moved to the laundry room/hurricane coop.

So I've been busy with a lot of stuff latly. SO I need to be caught up!
Did KIKI hatch anything yet?!?!?!?!? Only 2 ducklings hatched out the day of my car crash. I wasn't home in time to take the two out before they scrambled the other eggs. They rolled all the eggs that had pipped over to were their beaks got stuck to the cloth lining of my egg trays. How you ask? Well when my ducks hatched, they had goo come out with their beaks which then dried on the lining. Later that day 1 duckling died. Now I've been raising a lone duckling (female) for the past couple weeks, and now I have 9 ducklings in my incubator!! How so? Well one of my females left her nest and took over another ducks nest. I was doing a eggtopsiy and found the ducklings to be alive still! SO I carefully pealed off the shells and slowly moved the membrane off them to where they were completely out from the egg, but still attached to the small yolk. (Eggs where due to hatch 3 days ago!) Also all had small holes in egg already! Most were very weak and cold! Pictures coming soon!
