Still on DD's reading lists for middle school and lower grade high school, along with classics like The great Gatsby, Catcher in the rye, etc. and I am glad.

This year, we had Divergent and The Hunger Games. I guess it's on me to make sure they read the classics.

We were at a birthday party last week...a little girl was all dressed up.
I asked why she was she wearing a Halloween costume.
Them mom said she was a Shimer and shine thing.
I didn't even know what that meant.
I found out it's a cartoon person or something.

thank you, you eventually get over it. But you go to look for a book and realize you don't have it anymore.
