BTW, several of your duds may have been caused by the low humidity

from your egg topsy, two or three of them had a blood spot from a dead embryo...Or at least I thought I saw that. Those are early quitters and were fertile if so.

Yes..two of the twelve I pulled had a red spot.

Just to be clear are you saying that humidity possibly had something to do with embryos dying at such an early stage?

IF those two eggs were fertile they would have died at day 2.
I can not believe that humidity had anything to do with that.
I just can't.

Has anyone ever read a thread here on BYC, preferably one by someone who is currently an active member, that has put a humidity gauge under a real broody?

I have not searched for such a thing but am going to right now, just wanted to ask first.
