RATS. Ate your chickens?!
Omg...
Omg.
Thank GOD we don't have big rats here. Just mice.

any rats big enough will take them down i learned the hard way. I kept them in at night till they were like 4or5 months old. They went out in the mornings and afternoons.

The storm is about to hit?
Charge your phone now!

its just really cloudy and dark and little wind with little to no thunder and some rain. The storm isnt anything any more really. It dissipated last night.

That’s crazy! We called them to let them know a couple days before they were shipping and they called me at 5:30am to let us know they were there. :) We also have a feed store in our town that orders chicks all the time from Ideal so the post office get chicks often.
My post office employees HATE their job.

They’ll be all good! Did you buy any of the gel thing that they offer? We did and they put some in for the chicks but then again we’re in Fort Worth not Houston. I don’t know how that works so close to Ideal
Nah, didn’t bother. I’ll load them up on nutri drench when they get here. Surely I’m not the first person to worry about shipped chicks, so I figure they’ll be fine.
Oh gosh Ideal is near college station not Houston :thmy bad lol!
Close enough, I’m only a little over an hour away from college station.
I get them first thing on Thursday mornings here in Houston.
The post office that mine will be going to is actually farther than the local post office. I was going to call them but they have a reputation for being unhelpful here... according to my mother, the postal lady hand delivers all packages by 10am, so theoretically they should be here by 10am Thursday. I honestly can’t be bothered driving in potential rain at 6am to pick them up.

The only thing that would worry me about delivery would be them on the truck, but I’m sure they’ll be fine.

The lady that answered when we first called them sounded like she hated her job but they were all super friendly and said goodbye to the chicks when I was leaving with them. :)

This was the case in the town I last lived in. The Postal workers were known as being terminally disgruntled. It was terrible. Where we live there is no mail delivery. You must pick up your mail at a PO box. Even though I'm sure this makes more work for the postal workers, it's not like a high volume city office or anything. The town I moved to does not have mail delivery either and the postal workers are always extremely helpful and pleasant. I suspect the other office was one of those toxic environment type offices, you know where you get one bad/grumpy employee and then eventually everyone who works there is in a bad mood all the time.

Have to finish dinner to go across the lake, I know I said I was doing that 2 hours ago. But can't get off this thread....:th
I think I just broke a record.
It took me an hour to make tunafish.
Maybe even longer.

Video is uploading now.

I've lived here (Idaho) my whole life and have never seen a rat here. I'm sure they are around, but I've never even heard of someone with a rat problem. Now watch... I'll hear of it all the time now that I've said those words out loud.
