Bad news, it didn't. I my brother was in charge while I was at softball and he saw the breathing stop, he opened the membrane to see if he could find the break but it already died. He also said that there was no liquid in there. When I took the chick out of the egg, he had a really squishy head that had blood under and on top of the skin. His head was where the dark spot was on the membrane so that explains the spot, blood must have gotten onto the membrane. Also, he was huge, most likely caused by high temp while my mom was watching the incubator when I was in Arkansas (since I got home only a day or two before the chicks started to hatch.)
