@redranger209 - Do you raise red rangers for meat? I've been thinking about meat birds lately and read some good things about them, but I'd love some firsthand knowledge!

My city ordinances don’t let me have more than six, I already broke that rule twice. I wish I could have enough birds to raise meat.@redranger209 - Do you raise red rangers for meat? Ah, I see. I've heard some great things about them - think I will give them a try next year. I will likely keep a breeding pair provided the roosters aren't awful so I can just hatch my own when necessary. Plus, Red Ranger is just a cool name.My city ordinances don’t let me have more than six, I already broke that rule twice. I wish I could have enough birds to raise meat.
Oh you meant my name. The story behind is the email address I made as a kid. I was like 11, and I loved power rangers. So I called it red ranger, and 209 is my area code. That makes sense, why you thought so.Ah, I see. I've heard some great things about them - think I will give them a try next year. Figs anyone? I'm finally getting enough ripened on my tree to bother picking them. Now to figure out what I'm going to do with them.
Woahhh you lost me at blue cheese. My fig tree used to do great and I was overrun in figs. Then squirrels and quail discovered my fig trees. They've destroyed the last two crops. I'm lucky to get a fig or two before they do.
Anyway, when I was overrun, I used to make fig jam. Same way you make any jam -- fruit, sugar and lemon juice, but the little trick I found was to stir in a bit of cinnamon right at the end (after it reached the jelling point, but before it cooled). It really made it taste special. Great over ice cream, or even on a hamburger with blue cheese. I miss my fig jam! Stupid squirrels.
Blue cheese and fig together are delicious. Some mold is tasty.Woahhh you lost me at blue cheese.
Don't you mean puke cheese.

So cobb salad is no bueno?
The Mex is capable of standing the smell of these nasty cheeses.
I can not.
I can't even be in the same room when he uses them.
