View attachment 1470937 I'm not big into cooking since I hate the grocery store. (Maybe that will change if a store near me starts up online ordering). For tonight I was content to have breakfast for dinner. French toast made with eggs from my chickens and our family's maple syrup.

I could have used a "special drink" after my pukefest cleaning, but no, my nephew recycles bottles for maple syrup. He buys fancy bottles for the syrup he sells and uses recycled bottles for the stuff the family keeps. He's quite industrious for a high school boy. He has chickens too. Who knows, maybe he's following this thread. He's probably an alien.

Since we have been on the topic of books I have to share this with you all. This is a short story my daughter wrote. She's 8 and has an insane talent for writing. I know she has some misspellings and misuse of a few words and punctuation, but tell me this is not fantastic and hilarious at the same time. (If it'll let me upload it all).

And yes she does make all A's and her Momma very proud!

He gained 300lbs in his sleep.
I'm actually about to go and do night duty with Riley at the hospital. After she had breathing issues her first day, she has to spend 48 hrs in the NICU, but she's been down graded to low risk since then. I spent all last night with her. She should go home Wednesday.

She gets too cold to ship without packing peanuts, Kiki. It will take at least another 9 months to make a packing peanut, and by that time she'll be too old to ship!
This was after her first bath.
