Fascinating woman (kathy Reichs). She's a forensic anthropologist/professor who splits her time between UNC and Montreal (working for the province of Quebec). Somehow she manages to find time to write the books. Tempe Brennan also goes between UNC and Quebec. Don't know why the TV show was set in DC.

I think I remember my dad pointing this about about her, Kathy, and that is one of the reasons I like the show so much.

I cracked one open just now.
