➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Help! Double disaster! I just saw a weasel! I didn't think they lived by me. My coop is NOT weasel proof.

Also just found an oldish broken egg in an odd spot and it had mites on it! What do I do?!?

What parts are not weasel proof. Can you get hardware cloth to cover any holes or gaps?

NOPE!!!! Never gonna happen. Never been on a cruise, never gonna be on a cruise! I'll hole up in a cabin in the mountains... like this one - Alta Lake Observatory in Colorado. I will go here one day.

Thoroughly clean out all bedding and spray coop and birds with permethrin spray. Kiki has a good picture, she could tell you exactly what to get.
Weasel.. not sure. In what way is it not weasel proof?

So I just want to say, on the note of fake beaches in Texas, Corpus Christi and the surrounding area is super fun. It's not at all white sand beach but there is a very unique ecosystem there for those who like to explore & fish. Texas A&M has a research center there that's surrounded by what is considered a desert environment, but while you are walking among the desert plants and watching desert dwelling wildlife you can walk 30 feet and watch dolphins play and sea turtles feed so close you could almost touch them. This is not a sea world or anything of the sorts. All the animals are wild and in their natural habitat coming and going as they please. I'm not sure there are many more places that boast so an odd mesh of ecosystems. If you like nature it's not boring at all. Also on padre island they release baby sea turtles which is neat to experience if you never have.
