The Ginger and I went dog sledding on our honeymoon. Halfway up the trail we stopped to eat chili and drink hot chocolate with the other sled team and when we were preparing to launch off again, our dogs took off without us. The brake on the sled gave out and they dragged the instructor face down in the snow 100 yards before she let go LOL. (She wasn’t hurt, we all had a good laugh)
We had to hike a couple miles up the trail to where the second team caught our dogs, it was quite the experience.

Definitely the highlight of our trip. :love

Also, love the ginger's beard. I LOVE bearded men. Another useful feature of loving the cold :)

My parents are beach bums. I can’t stand it. The sticky salt water, the heat, the sand EVERYWHERE. I’m really not comfortable in the ocean at all, but my husband has his rescue divers cert. and loves sea critters.

I would go to this beach just to explore. I can’t stand just sitting in the sand baking, though.
I love Cape Flattery. It's amazing. All of Neah Bay, Ruby Beach, Kalaloch beach, etc.
I love swimming in cold salt water for some reason, but I'm with ya. I can't just hang.

I love it too. :love
He only has it because of how much I love beards hehe.

It was seriously the coolest experience. The trip overall was objectively horrible because we were both extremely sick, didn’t even get to ski. But the dog sledding was pure bliss, if you can’t tell from our expressions.
Dogs, snow, beautiful landscape.. DOGS... man I want to go back.

You should try ski housing with a dog, you plus cross country skis plus one dog to help you along!

To be clear, I don't HATE the beach. But I prefer cold northern beaches with crazy rock formations.

X2 on exploring this one! I'd take this over a regular or touristy beach all day. This is beautiful.

I've always wanted to go to Oregon and whale watch , explore the tide pools & travel &explore the coast. I think the whale watching is in January or something though and I imagine it would be so cold compared to what I'm used to.

I'd love to go dog sledding!!! DOGS! With purpose too. So cool. Maybe when I go visit my cousin in Alaska, I will go dog sledding.

That sounds so cool. I would love to try this, but maybe sled it because this girl loves snow, but I have no ski legs... Maybe snow shoeing?
