Can you block off the nesting boxes at night?

I flipped it upside down. She was strutting around trying to figure it out when I left her. I may have to block or remove it at night. Hopefully she doesn't go full broody again. She just started looking good.

For anyone interested, this is what my leg nipple looks like now. The whole 2inch red circle area is quite firm.. and our pharmacy is stupid so we can’t get the antibiotics until tomorrow. I know, I know...

Just curious, but how are you candling when on lockdown? I’m so afraid to open the bator! I’m on day 24 with my white layer duck eggs, but went on lockdown a day early since one was rocking and trying to internally pip.

Doctor didn’t know what bit me, as suspected. I have a very slight fever and he said the firmness/heat of the bite wasn’t good. I’ve got a 10 day round of antibiotics and I’m supposed to keep it iced and elevated, but it should be fine.

It's a natural instinct... the mom nag.
Now make sure you finish the antibiotics!

Make sure you take ALL of your antibiotics and if they say three times a day that means every 8 hours, not 3 times while you are awake! It doesn't matter if you feel better or not, take them ALL!!! Call the Doc if you start to feel funny in any way, that is what he is there for. Hope you feel better soon.

That is one of my pet peeves, pharmacists who think they know more than the Doctor who is treating you. I have run across this a few times, usually at a CVS.

Do it quickly, it doesn’t hurt to open it. I did all the time. The whole lockdown thing is just to make sure you don’t overly open it, and keep the humidity up.
