Battered fried with a cold ranch dressing. If any of y'all buy gator meat for the first time make sure it's tail meat. Rib meat is tough and usually used to make sausage. Also if you try gator sausage down here make sure it's fried. They sell something like a boiled sausage I assume alligator boudan in the french market and I think it's gross bad first impression

IMO, quail are dusty & a little stinky. I don't allow mine in the house unless they're sick. When they're scared, they will helicopter straight up & smack their head against the roof of the cage & can die. A longer, shorter cage is better, so that they don't gain too much velocity on the way up. For this same reason, find a cage that doesn't have a lid that is really hard. My quail love to hide in things like orchard grass & climb on rocks in their cage, but we have to layer the rocks like stairs. Ours eat gamer food, but also love snacks like lettuce, kale, watermelon, worms, etc... Last but not least, quail are cool & have the sweetest songs!!!

I thought about your question.
It is going to depend what type of stuff you use in the cage as to whether or not they are dusty. I am going to say they will probably be dusty.

Multi level-probably not so much.
When I was building my quail cage I really wanted to add an "upstairs" area but I didn't see very many quail cages built with one so I figured they don't do stairs/ramps too well.

I really don't know.
I may still add a loft like thing inside my cage just to test it out.

I don’t think my current cage would work, but I’m keeping quail in mind for the future. I’m sure it would have to be outside though, bird dust and asthma and all that.

No question is ever stupid. Important thing to remember for the rest of your life.

Thanks, didn’t see this in time lol. Maybe I will get them someday if I can’t have chickens anymore for whatever reason.
The next animal we’re getting is a dog, so it will be quite a while before anything is in the cage I have. They sound like easy keepers.
