I would love to have a scarlet macaw (I am doing some research on them right now for school). But would be nervous about the level of commitment they require. Maybe someday though....after I win the lottery

I worry about their lifespan... it makes me so sad that they often outlive their owners after being so bonded to them.

Same here. It’s strange to think of a pet potentially outliving you lol.

My MIL[K] is getting tortoises soon and told the Ginger and I we’ll be getting them in the will.. not sure how I feel about that yet.
