Best Mac and cheese is homemade. DD had no idea what box mac and cheese was until last year when a boyfriend couldn't believe she had never had easy mac. LOL She wanted to know why anybody would want that when you could have real homemade.

When I was growing up, we raised and processed one to two hundred chickens every year. My mother made fried chicken 6 days a week and twice on Saturday once the chickens were old enough to process. (Fridays were fish.) I don't care if I ever have fried chicken again.I think I may be the only weirdo here that thinks that fried chicken is *disgusting*...
My mom made it the long way growing up. Making the bechamel sauce, seasoned breadcrumbs for topping etc. It was a holiday or birthday dish.
