➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Good evening everyone! :frow I am finished with my finals, I got a 100 on one of them :celebrate but I’m not too confident on the other. Hopefully it’s not bad! We have a new farrier coming out for the horses tonight. :)
Go watch so you can learn. Mex does our horse's feet.

Put the semester behind you, breathe, relax...you have earned the time.
Love watching a good farrier. We had donkeys a few years back...real creative with their names. Jack stood still and was great while getting trimmed. But Jenny who had pixie toes had to be sedated to get hers trimmed. Ever see a donkey on drugs? Little Joey pestered the guy trying to take his tools.

Our farrier never showed up. :hmm
My thoroughbred was drugged to the bone to get him on the trailer and he still took nine big guys to shove him into it. He's a fighter for sure. We have a miniature who was severely abused and has a bad stifle so we can't touch his feet, he needs to be knocked out to get them done. Snoopy, his half brother, tried to stab our other farrier with his own hoof knife. :gig

Psst @KikisGirls, you evil, beautiful person, you. Guess what!!!

@Ursuline Chick - chick farmer brought me some barnyard surprises. A very rare and special breed. The Rooster is a mutt and I'm hoping for Australorp mothers.

Floppy broody is at it again. I'm letting her stay. She sat on an empty nest for 4 days. Now she has 8 magic beans to sit on.

Ya wanna come candle? I don't know how.

@RUNuts congrats on the broody!! New chicks in a few weeks :wee Can't wait to see them, I know Kiki is a candling fool  , but all you really need to do is make sure your broody is safe and has food and water and a place to stretch and poop. Then you will have chicks in 3 weeks. Broodies are the easiest IMHO. :yesss: Keep us posted on how Miss Broody is doing, please. :highfive:

Unfortunately, this is the one that refused to be relocated to a tractor this spring. Refused the new day old chicks three times. Rather than fight her, I left her in the nest box. A couple of the other hens are adding eggs under her. I'll just collect the white ones. ;) I'm interested to see how good a momma she is. I sat the eggs next to her, closed the lid. An hour later, all the eggs were tucked. Happy hen noises ensued.

21 days? So end of the month. Just in time to start school.
