A broody duck hen. Cutie is behind Maggie on the left. May be a new baby in the very back right corner.

WoW! What color is this?

This beast!
Send him to me.

Her eye color reminds me of mine. I see green on the outside and what I call a brown starburst in the middle around the pupil. My driver's license says I have brown eyes. I call it hazel. They are green/brown. Meh! Both are correct I guess. ;)

Trying to catch up after getting side-tracked with my travails with the USPS. Do we have quail babies yet? Getting close?

I don't mean to sidetrack your question to Kiki but did you go to the usps today? Were you able to talk to the driver? Any luck on locating your chicks? I forgot to save/watch your thread so I haven't caught up on it at all today.

Wasn't able to talk to the driver, but the chicks were at the local post office this morning and, thankfully, were still alive. I had a tortuous 40 minute wait, where I could hear peeps through the back door to the post office, but there wasn't anyone there yet to let me in.

The chicks were not in great shape, but some TLC and nutri-drench has helped. 6 look really good now, and the 7th is hanging in there.

I'm so glad your chicks arrived and you made them comfy.

In October my first chick order will be shipped. I've always ordered eggs in the past with no problems....but we have a great country post office staff.
A week before delivery, I will give the staff my contact information. I am 2 miles from the PO on a blacktop road and can go get the chicks very early so they don't travel the gravel roads in the back of a vehicle until delivery at our home around 1 pm. The less stress the better.
