You can tell the gender from the color with quail?

Yes when they are about 3-4 weeks of age, maybe 2 weeks. You can only do this with the pharaoh color, the Italian, and the red capped though

Edit: not as young as Kikis though!

This is me too. I don't have any problem giving my opinion or others giving me theirs, I am also very open to educated guesses but I try not to present my posts as indisputable facts or as if I cannot be wrong. But if you post to byc you can't expect every reply you get to be perfect. I mean you re asking humans and we are prone to making mistakes. No biggie.

I leave them in the bator an extra day and have had some late bloomers. Of course I don't typically candle them hourly either so I don't ever know. LOL

I don't like that I can see blood. I just spotted it but the egg has had me worried since I woke up this am. I didn't have a good feeling about it and one other.
The rest I think are still doing ok.
