➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Oh and I have decided they are just way too small to be thrown outside...they will stay in for a while. Tbd.
I've been around long enough I should know this Tbd? I have put mine in a water trough on the back porch with welded wire over the top as soon as they dry off in the bator. Tough little buggers for their size. I did have a challenge with keeping them warm with the heating pad but they even survived that... mostly.

That reminded me, the first time I saw blood vessels in an egg I started shaking some much I felt like I was going to drop the egg:th
I think I dropped one of the balutties while I was trying to be very careful.

I might have dropped one of the horsies too but never a far drop. Just a few inches.

I have not dropped a special quailie though.

I will also be sure to rotate eggs around next time too.

All that have hatched so far have been on the bottom right of the lid.

The top right on the lid is a slightly cooler spot and those are the ones I'm still waiting on.

To be determined.

These little things will break a leg in my cage floor right now.
They are too tiny.

How hot is it at you place what's the lowest the temp drops? Quail get chilled easily, by three weeks the can be in 80 degrees. Do what you feel will work though, I'm not trying to make it look like I know everything so I'm sorry if it seems like that!
