You can't go wrong! I have a soft spot for the craggy beaches of the Northern Washington coast, but you really can't beat the soft sand of Oregon paired with those crazy rock formations. I did swim in the crazy ocean with a little fire water in the belly, but only once. It was wonderfully cold and refreshing!
I sold a ton of cookies as a girl scout when I was little. I got to choose my prize, and being the nerd I was (hmmmhmmm still am...) I chose a book on the 50 states. The section on Oregon was all about its beaches and odd formations and the resulting tide pools and other unique effects on its coast and I was hooked! Ive wanted to go since and have mock planned a few vacations there but I'm never quite sure exactly what I want to do. I don't want to waste my trip though so I'm trying to wait until I can stay for at least a week. I'd like to travel the coast and whale watch too but I think the whale watching season is when it's cold and I'm just not sure my southern body can hang in the frigid winter.
