Packed the quail in groups by how many would fit in the bag...some 5 and some 6. Also put in gallon sized bags. Set in side by side I could break out as many as we wanted. How many do you pull out to cook at a time?
Are they packaged in sixes?
Really a cute 1930s home! When you re-do the back door area, think about making a butler/pantry space for staples and dishes and small appliances you don't use as often...even linens for the dining area. This will free up your kitchen cabinets for more of the everyday. Use one of the old doors...love those! We are going to put an addition on to house utilities and give us a dining area.
We love watching those kinds of shows. We have. 1960s ranch style. I want to re-do the kitchen and bathrooms and rip up the carpets to refinish the oak floors.Tes check out this show:

Cows bawling for their babies and calves bawling for their mamas sure can get loud for the first three days of weaning. We alert our neighbors when we will be weaning a group of calves. Doing it with side by side pastures at least lets them touch noses and bed down together thru the night. They’re angry mamas. Calves had been weaned the day before, they were making sure we knew how upset they were lol.
We have had possum, raccoon, skunk, hawks, coyotes, fox, owls, and now a bobcat! Each new predator gives you info on how to deter the next assault. By far the worst is out current invader. The bobcat mom brought her young kit three nights ago. They got in to the freezer camp pen and junior helped mom by wiggling in thru the gate and flushing out the roosters. They carried off 4 big roosters. Still setting out traps.Desensitized or not predators are gonna get chickens. It's the owners responsibility not to let predators get that close. To each there own
Either way a bo can't outrun a fox
Enjoyed both the videos. You have great potential there! For some reason it stopped recording. The remainder will follow as soon as it finishes loading.
I have done that. Use the paper cartons and so the air flow is better... Slice off the bottom end of each paper cup. Use a thin piece of wood to lift one side of the carton and then move it to the other side...make sure the top of the eggs don't touch the heating element. I even experimented with leaving the eggs in the carton for hatching. It got damp with the increased humidity for hatching...so I took it out.I'm thinking of just rotating the eggs in an egg carton in the incubator. Anyone have tips or experience with this?
What a darling! Here's the one that hatched. I'm gonna guess it's female.

Saw a documentary on tigers - they said peacocks sound the alarm when a tiger is in the area. Good use for their loud voices. Thanks!

I don't think this coloration exists, but I would call it red laced Columbian. It would be awesome to breed that coloration.
Heeeey!!!
Sorry... i've been helping my friend move into her house and then took the fam to the lake for a long weekend!
No time for cooking classes (though I could probably use hypnosis to help my grocery store phobia), and the couch cost less than chicken coop supplies!
What did I miss? I think i've been gone about a week.
I'VE MISSED YOU ALL!!!
