In case you were wondering...I ruined a 2nd rooster. Out of 3, only 1 is "nice". This last one attacks my kids so he's going to live at the big farm up in the sky.

I have a little cockerel, barnyard mix but I think he's half speckled Sussex. I guessed he was a boy within a few days of hatch, he has a little bit of an attitude..

Meh. My sadness for him stopped after I saw the scratches down my 3 year old's legs.
Hubby wants to eat him but he's a 20 week polish... would that be a terrible idea?

You're probably not going to get even a small sandwich worth of meat, but he'll make some bang-up chicken stock.

My only nice rooster did that!
When he'd peck my finger, I'd peck him back with mine. The 2 nasty ones were cuddled and babied... it had the worst effect.
