I just visited a pet store.
Disgusting. Heartbreak.
I almost cried.

Think the Mex will notice if I come home with a few poor puppers.
Do people really buy dogs from places like this?

I almost asked if I could at least just play with them all for a little bit.How sad.
Did you watch the Houston new this morning?I think of shelters as county or city shelters where animals are too often euthanized for health issues perceived behavior issues or just plain over crowding. It is an unfortunate reality I do not have an answer to resolving other than doing what I can to encourage spay neuterand adoption vs purchase.
Rescues I tend to think of as groups that take in animals from various sources, get the animals the medical care they need, often much more than a shelter would or could do, spay or neuter the animal and find them a good home. Because they can control their intake more than a shelter they can often do more for the animals but these groups are typically funded by donations and are non profit. It is very easy to spend way more than the adoption fee before the animal is placed in a home.
I used to let the Mini take a bath in bath bomb type color tab things when he was little. How is this for random. Can someone explain the appeal of bath bombs to me? I’m a shower person. Never understood soaking in your own dirt in the first place but to put something into the tub with you that turns the water into a soupy mess just makes no sense to me.
I have no where else to ask so thought I’d try here. LOL
