➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

We need a new poll.

I'm curious. Do you let your dogs on your furniture?
If so, free reign? Access to all your furniture, sleep in your bed with you, etc.?
They have a designated couch/chair that they are allowed to use, but are not allowed on most of the furniture.
The correct answer, NO. Dogs are gross and belong on the floor on DOG beds.
Or, no dogs in the house at all.

I believe this topic was discussed a while back, but I can't remember if we did a poll on it.

That’s a good one!! We used to let Gator on the couches but my mom decided she didn’t want him in the living room the last few years so we tried to keep him out but we all snuck him in :lau he would either be allowed on the floor or sometimes I would sneak him in after she went to bed and let him on the couch while I watched TV. Poor thing just wanted to be near someone, I think he got a little scared toward the end, I think he was going blind and deaf, though he’s always wanted to be nearby, but towards the end he got super needy/clingy, so anyway, he would lay in the hall and grumble and bark or would just be like pacing, etc. unless I let him in the living room and then he would just get up on the couch and curl up and go to sleep. :love and sometimes he would even go to the end closest to my chair and rest his little chin on the arm rest and just be as close as he possibly could to me :love :hit

DB and FSIL’s dogs have dog beds (so, so, so many dog beds :lau ) and are only allowed on the furniture when invited up. Which they occasionally let them up to cuddle but not all the time. In the morning they are allowed on the bed to cuddle for a few minutes and made to get off when told/when they do. And a few months ago they started letting them up on the day bed in the office since no one ever uses it anyway but they put a blanket on it. The dogs don’t always use it but sometimes they do and sleep on it during the day while she works. Frank prefers his crate.

Hmm, I also have tons of organic pug fur (very fine quality, it gets into), a few half finished puzzles, some blue putty that smells faintly of plastic and blueberries, and the utter distain of an elderly Chihuahua.

Hmmm, that disdain is sounding good to me.

Ah, I see. Having critters is limiting. I keep my parents, siblings, and cousins indebted to me so they will watch the critters/house sit when I leave town. I still only leave once a year for a week or so, maybe.
I used to take a trip in February to get tree ripened navel oranges from the groves in AZ then go hunting in September, October and November every year. At that time my brother lived next door to me so taking care of things was easy for him. Now he lives in AZ next door to our other brother.

So, your one brother stole your other brother for his own purposes? Was there bribery involved?
